Christian Maxfield
Spiritus & harmonia Conductor
Christian is a Grade 2 teacher at SML Christian Academy in Stony Plain, Alberta. A graduate of Concordia University of Edmonton, he completed a B.A. in history and music (voice) in 2017 and a Bachelor of Education in 2019.
An alumnus of the Edmonton Youth Choir, Christian sings regularly now with Pro Coro Canada and has recently appeared also with the Concordia Concert Choir, Chronos Vocal Ensemble, VoiceScapes, and the National Youth Choir of Canada (2016, 2017).
He is very excited to be taking on leadership of the Spiritus Choir of the Edmonton Children's Choir this fall!

Spiritus is our children’s choir for boys and gender-diverse singers in Grades 2 – 4. Weekly rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:15 – 6:10 pm at Southminster-Steinhauer United Church.

Harmonia is our children’s choir for singers in Grades 5 – 7, co-conducted by Amy Voyer and Christian Maxfield. Weekly rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 – 7:45 pm at Southminster-Steinhauer United Church.
